Our fast-paced Western culture is not just affecting the stress levels and health of adults, but our children are also feeling the effects. Specifically in the age of social media. This four week session will offer kids a time and space in their week when they can disconnect from technology, the pressures of sports and activities, and reconnect with themselves and others in a safe and supported environment. Students will learn yoga fundamentals as well as mindfulness techniques. These skills are empowering and can enable kids to RESPOND to stress, rather than react.
The session is taught by Kate Olson, long time yoga teacher, mindfulness facilitator and mother of two teens. Kate has taught both yoga and mindfulness in local school districts.
