Class List

Yoga 1
Perfect for the new student just beginning the study of yoga or for any student who would like to slow down and reinvestigate their practice. This class will concentrate on fundamental hatha yoga postures with an emphasis on aligning your body to help open places that feel tight, and breathing practices to increase your energy and stamina. All levels and abilities are welcome.

Yoga 1-2
This class will guide all levels of students (beginners and up) through a well-rounded practice including seated meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), and a flowing asana practice exploring variations of Surya Namaskar (sun salutations), a wide range or standing and seated poses, and beginning arm balances and inversions.

Aaaaahhhhh. The use of props to create positions in the body which create deep states of relaxation and health, restorative yoga is appropriate for EVERY BODY. Relax, renew, rejuvenate.

Yoga 2
A fun, challenging, and flowing class for intermediate to advanced level students working to deepen their practice. Inversions, deep backbends and arm balances will be explored. You should be familiar with Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) and the standing postures. Previous yoga experience is recommended.

Appropriate for all levels of students, Yin yoga generally targets the connective tissues (ligaments, bones, joints) of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine through relaxation and meditation in seated postures. Yin yoga is the perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat and the lengthening/contracting of muscles. Yin poses are held for long periods of time, allowing students to bring their awareness inward and practice releasing tension both physically and mentally.

By appointment only. One hour of one on one instruction.
